The Leb Trip
The Leb Trip is the new indie folk pop project by Jordi Bel, co-founder, composer, guitarist and voice of the Barcelona band Stay, a regular band on the national psychedelic rock scene for more than 20 years. As a member of Stay he has released six LPs to date with different national and international labels (Subterfuge, Rock Indiana, Bip-Bip, Wild Thing, Fruits de Mer,...) performing several tours and performances in the main national festivals, sharing the stage with giants such as Liam Gallagher, Ocean Color Scene, The Dandy Warhols or The Pretty Things, among others...
The Leb Trip marks a turning point in Jordi's musical career with which he intends to open up and explore more introspective and acoustic landscapes. A journey to the inner universe based on more delicate and personal melodies and textures, with clear influences from timeless classics such as Donovan, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Gram Parsons, Big Star and more contemporary ones such as Dawes, Woods , Shins, Vetiver, Daniel Wylie...
Precisely the latter, Daniel Wylie (leader of the psych jingle jangle rock Scottish band Cosmic Rough Riders), has produced the 4 songs selected to make up The Leb Trip's first EP, Rising High, which will be released on Flower Canyon Recordings. Daniel Wylie was the leader and songwriter of the Scottish psychedelic pop rock and folk group Cosmic Rough Riders, discovered by Alan McGee (Creation Records, Poptones). Their LP 'Enjoy the Melodic Sunshine' (2001) sold more than 100,000 copies in the United Kingdom and recently the vinyl reissue (2022) has reached Top 40 sales in the English charts. The focus track of the EP is called Time is the Enemy and it is an acidic reflection on the vital triangle Time-Love-Faith, whose video was made by Enric Chalaux (Delay Lamas, Aleppo Pine, Stay...) in August 2024. A second EP of 4 tracks is currently being recorded to be released in the 2025-2026 academic year.
